A delicious sweet nutty flavored red streaked large (2") crab apple that is excellent for fresh eating, cooking or cider. Annual bearing tree ripens its fruit in early September and makes a good pollinator for other varieties. A 1946 University of Minnesota release, it is very cold hardy, zones 3-8.
