An excellent 1800's heirloom dessert apple originating in Lampere, Township, PA, next to William Gibbons smokehouse. A firm, sweet and flavorful pretty red mixed with yellow skinned apple it is exceedingly juicy and has a fresh cider flavor. Great for fresh eating, cooking and making cider. Tree bears at a young age and is a reliable annual producer. Hardy zones 4-8.
